摘要
In arid regions,most piedmont depression areas of inland rivers containing thick sand,gravel aquifers and superior conditions for groundwater runoff,can be regarded as natural underground reservoirs,which are supplied by rivers and leakage from alluvial and diluvial fan.After through the fan,the groundwater runoff is overflowing as a spring in the plain terrain,where the particle is becoming finer and like a natural dam.By analysis of the characteristics of karezs,terrain and geomorphology of the fan,and water storage structure and transforming of water resource,this paper puts forward to a plan of building underground reservoir with cross-karez-style in piedmont depression area.
