摘要

The quartz sand deposit in the south of Xinyi is located in the north part of the regional quartz sand zone in Xinyi-Suqian area, east margin of North China Platform. The formation time for quartz deposit in south Xinyi started in Pliocene Epoch of Late Tertiary period until the end of Pliocene Epoch. The deposit was spatially controlled by structure and confined by Tan-Lu Fracture, and the lifting of Tan-Lu Fracture and the new tectonic movement determined the buried depth and thickness, the transportation of quartz sand was characteristic of alluvial sedimentation with a rough three-sector type and poor sorting. A long-term of uplift, swelling and denudation of Sujiao land mass provided the source materials for quartz sand.
