A Discussion on Some Problems in Groundwater Network Construction for Monitoring Reservoir-Induced Earthquakes
Based on the characteristics of reservoir-induced earthquakes occurred all over the world, combined with construction experiments of groundwater monitoring network of Three Gorgers project and Jinshajiang lower reaches project for reservoir-induced earthquakes, and the scientific knowledge obtained during and after construction of China Earthquake-Groundwater Monitoring Network, the problems that how to select area and sites of groundwater monitoring network, how to decide the relative distance of wells, how to select observation aquifer and how to design the depth and structure of observation well, are discussed in this paper.
