By analyzing various geological characteristics of T₁j^2-2, T₁j^2-1 and T₁j¹ formations and log curves, the synthetic seismogram and fine models are built and the seismic responses of reservoirs in Wanglong and surrounding area studied. Seismic attributes to predict reservoirs are extracted. The results show that the phenomena of a moderate-strong amplitude, dropping-down phase axis, bifurcating phase axis and low frequency represent favorable reservoirs. The prediction of seismic attributes shows that favorable reservoirs grow in Taihe and Wanglong, according with the drillings. All these illustrate that the method can well predict the distribution of reservoirs and provide the basis for a further exploration.
