Geological Features of Geothermal Deposits in the Jinghong Basin of Yunnan Province and Their Genesis
详细信息
摘要

The Jinghong Basin lies in the middle-high temperature geothermal area of western Yunnan Province, a part of the Yunnan-Tibet geothermal zone. It hosts widely distributed magma rocks and active faults and possesses good conditions for geothermal depoists. Studies show that bounded by the Lancang River fault(F1), the basin can be divided into two geothermal fields, i.e., Gasa-Manda-Manmai and Manhefeng-Manyangguang geothermal fields. The geothermal reservoir of the western geothermal field is Lincang-Menghai granite mass, and that of the eastern one is the Nanlianshan complex rock mass. Precipitation recharge of ground water provides a rich source for the geothermal water, active faults form the deep circulation channels of geothermal water, and widespread magmatic masses provide thermal energy for the hot water. The study suggests the genesis of underground thermal water in this area can be classified to the type of magmatic rock-structural faults.
