///The Karst fault basin in Kunming is located along the watershed of the Yangtze River, the Honghe River and the Pearl River, with an area of 2 920 km². Through research on the geological and environmental conditions of the Karst fault basin in Kunming and on the causes and forming mechanisms of various environmental and geological problems, this paper has provided reliable geological and environmental information for urban planning, construction and management, thus to propose some countermeasures to tackle the environmental and geological problems, which bears imminent and realistic meaning for the scientific development of Kunming City.
