Qishan ilmenite deposit in Juxian County is the first evaluated large-scale ilmenite deposit. It is located tectonically in the Gongdanshan uplift of the middle part of the Yishu fault belt. The primary rock and orebodies are brownish green, fine-grained titanium-bearing magnetite-amphibole pyroxene. Among the five bodies discovered, the No. I, II and III ore bodies were controlled in project. The No. 1 orebody is 1 600 m long, with an average of 180 m, a controlled depth of 204 m, and the average TiO2 and TFe grades of 8.68% and 18.46%, respectively. Based on study on its geological characteristics, it is proposed that this deposit belongs to magma differentiated ilmenite deposit at early period, which formed in the Paleoproterozoic era.
