According to the results of risk exploration and comprehensive study of mineral resources in Laos, we have the preliminary analysis and discussion about the regional metallogenetic geological background, metallogenetic rule of Fe ore resources, main Fe ore type, characteristics and prospecting direction, etc in this paper. The Fe deposit in Laos can be divided into skarn, hydrothermal and volcanic eruption-sedimentation type, which is especially abundant in the north Xiang Khoang-Vangviang area, which is controlled by the island arc-rift magmatic zone. The N part is the prospecting potential area.
