Finite Element Simulation and Qualitative Analysis of Two-Dimensional MT Tipper Response of Tabular Body
详细信息
摘要
In the two-dimensional geo-electric model, the magnetotelluric(MT) tipper data can reflects the horizontal non-uniformity of geo-electric structure clearly. It plays an important role in data interpretation, especially in vertical or tilted tabular body identification.MT tipper data can be used to find fault and determine the location, inclination, size and depth of models. This paper emphasizes a forward simulation for a model with two tabular body through the finite element method. The authors can calculate tipper’s real part, imaginary part, amplitude and phase information by using triangle grids, which can be a great way to improve the accuracy of the forward simulation’s results but not gaining the strength of calculation much,to refine traditional rectangular grids. The results show that the response of tipper obviously reflects that the horizontal non-uniformity of electric resistivity of medium especially in transverse low resistance anomalies, and the location and depth of anomalies are also shown clearly.
