Using the satellite remote-sensing image data and the method of linear structural interpretation, this paper analyzes the characteristics of arcuate structure and corresponding arcuate image of the Datian-Yidu arcute structure in Fujian Province. It is considered that the arcuate structure was formed by the action of right-lateral wrench movement of the Yong'an-Jinjiang fault zone. The arcuate structure and its special veined image texture features can indicate the properties of faults and assess the action sequence of fault zones in different directions and the characteristics of congruence of arcuate image with liner images resul- ted from the other fault structures have an important geological significance for ore prospecting.
