Spatial distribution of soil organic carbon density, storage and its change are researched under different land uses in the middle of Heihe River, Gansu Province based on the multi-methods of gathering field samples, laboratory analysis, GIS spatial analysis model and remote sensing. The results show that obvious spatial otherness of total soil carbon (TOC), active organic carbon (AOC), nonactive organic carbon (NOC) exist under different land uses. NOC density is consistent with TOC, but density of AOC is different. It indicates that impacts of land use changes on TOC, AOC and NOC are different.
