Chinese continental Jurassic-Cretaceous boundaries were indented as Yixian stage and Dabeigou stage by the national stratigraphy commission (2001) on the based of the Estheria, Ostracoda fossil biostratigraphic correlation. Accordingly, combining existing biostratigraphic zonation data and known isotope-dating achievements of Jilin Province, the authors proposed provisional division scheme for Jurassic-Cretaceous boundaries in different areas of Jilin Province. They are Meiletu Formation/Baiyingaolao, Formation of Baicheng region, Shahezi Formation/Huoshiling Formation of Songnen plain, Jiuda Formation/Deren, Formation of the central part of Jilin Province, Laotougou Formation/Tuntianying Formation of Yanbian region, and Dashatan Formation/Lazimen Formation or Yingzuilazi Formation/Guosong Formation of Tonghua region.
