The Pingdi molybdenum deposit, located at the Wufu town, Wuyi Shan Mountains, Fujian Province, consists of three ore sections named Pingdi, Shangxikeng and Dongkeng. The ore-controlling geological conditions include the Dajinshan metamorphic rock of Early Proterozoic, intermediate-fine grained moyite of Late Jurassic and north-south trending fault structure. Its mineralization can be divided into three ore-forming stages. The Pingdi molybdenum section formed at the intermediate-high temperature hydrothermal ore-forming stage. The Shangxikeng molybdenum section was generated at the moderate temperature hydrothermal ore-forming stage. The analysis of multiple shows that the Pingdi molybdenum deposit belongs to the type of magmatic hydrothermal filling and metasomatism and the ore-forming time is the Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous.
