In North China mountain regions, the so-called “glacial potholes 2～3 Ma ago” locate mostly now in Quaternary river valleys, and so-called “glacial potholes 10～20 ka ago” locate in Holocene river valleys now, which come into conflict with the landform evolution of North China mountain regions.
