Times New Roman’; mso-fareast-font-family: 宋体; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA">In order to calculate denudation thickness and resume tectonic evolvement of the Lianyuan depression, the vitrinite reflectance is adopted in this article. It is showed that the settling velocity of the Lianyuan depression is the largest in Middle-Late Devonian. In Late Devonian-Carboniferous, the deposition is slow down. The settling velocity is much smaller in Permian-Triassic. In the late stage of early Taiassic, the fargoing the upheaval in Lianyuan sag took place. In the late Triassic, the strata began to deposition again. The rising velocity of strata is not equality. The rising velocity at the edge of the depression is larger than the inside. In the depression, the rising velocity in the anticlinal belt is larger than that in synclinal belt.
