摘要
To predict embankment failure of steep soil slopes in reservoir areas, a result using the diagram method considering cohesive can be more closer to the fact than usual way. Through an example, a conclusion was drew, that the increasing of soil friction angle or reducing the range of water level can contribute to a greatly improvement of embankment’s ability to against collapse. However, elevating highways zone was not obvious effective to resist collapse. A full analysis of the concerning factors about embankment collapse, can provide renovation a rational approach.
