摘要
The Changxing Formation is completely developed and fully exposed in Tianba,Wuxi.Field observation and thin section study in combination with sedimentary facies marks indicate that the Changxing Formation belongs to carbonate platform and slope depositional systems which may be divided into open platform facies,platform margin facies and slope facies and subdivided into some subfacies and microfacies.The Changxing Formation can be divided into two third-order sequences.Every sequence is composed of transgressive system tract and highstand systems tract with the sequence boundaries of II-type sequence boundary in top and bottom.
