The geological conditions and main deformation characteristics of high slope are described, those characteristics mainly include creeping-crack in upper portion and the toppling deformation in middle portion of the high slope. Based on these considerations the potential failure model of the high slope is analyzed and the tests of the parameters of underlying sliding plane are carried out. The stability of the high slope is estimated and calculated according to the various natural condition possibly occurred. The results indicate that the slope will be in stable condition under natural and rainfall, in limiting equilibrium condition under earthquake, and will be in unstable state under the effect of the discharging atomization or combined the rain and earthquake.
