Human construction activities in Lanzhou city triggered the continual occurrence of geological hazards in the slope area of the north and the south mountain along Lanzhou City of Gansu Province. The analysis of distribution and development of hazards show that the terrain, rock and soil types, geological structures are the key control factors to cause the collapses and landslide happened in Lanzhou city, meanwhile, precipitation and human activities are the induced factors.
