An Improved Curvature Calculation Algorithm and Its Effect Analysis

摘要
The curvature is usually calculated by using least square method to approximate the local curved surface with 3×3 grid unit. The method brings in a lot of noise, so some of the micro structures are covered by noise and cannot be displayed. Therefore, the authors utilized the least square method to approximate the local curved surface by 5
    
    

×5 grid unit and 7×7 grid unit and derived detailed calculation formula. The application results on actual data indicate that the ability of resisting noise is enhanced, and the characteristics of faults and some micro structures can be distinguished effectively, which proves the correctness of the curvature formula obtained by 5×5 grid unit and 7×7 grid unit.
