摘要
This paper discusses the plate tectonics and the mineralization in the West Tianshan Mts., analysing from the standpoint of the plate tectonics and metallogenic system. It is found that the main body of the orogenic belt in the West Tianshan Mts. is the arc-basin structural system taking shape from the former ancient Tianshan ocean which was between Kazakhstan-Junggar and Tarim blocks in Paleozoic but subducted northward and accreted in the north margin of Junggar blocks. There are six important metallogenic systems during the process of the formation and evolution about the structural system of the hyperplasia arc and basin in the West Tianshan Mts.
