The tectonic reverse of Songliao Basin has contributed to the formation and migration of oil and gas, as well as their accumulation. In this paper, according to the structural analysis on the features of both surface and subsurface of the northern Songliao Basin, it reveals that the late deposition stage of Nenjiang Group was characterized by the south-northwards differential uplifting, which didn’t result in folding of the terrane and changing of the tectonic frame, but accounted for the formation of the extensional unconformity.
