Black sheet-like crystals of the title compound are prepared from mixtures of Sn, Se, AgCl, NH₂NH₂·H₂O, 4-(4-(dimethylamino)styryl)-1-methylpyridinium iodide, and sodium p-toluenesulfonate (autoclave, 160 °C, 5—7 d).
