The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the feasibility of simultaneous dynamic R2, math-equation-construct">mage="true" class="math-equation-image">mathml="true" class="math-equation-mathml" style="display:none">math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML">mathvariant="normal">R2'math>, and math-equation-construct">mage="true" class="math-equation-image">mathml="true" class="math-equation-mathml" style="display:none">math xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML">mathvariant="normal">R2*math> measurement of lower extremity muscle by means of a new method in which the periodic π pulse shifting multiecho asymmetric spin echo (psMASE) sequence is adopted together with a moving estimation (ME) strategy.
