The cover picture shows the catalytic oxidation of water by a novel, weakly coupled binuclear complex of the type [RuV2(O)2(bpy)2(L)]6+, where L is the angular bridging ligand 1,3-bis(4'-2,2':6',2''-terpyridin-4-yl)benzene. This “Pacman-like” molecule has an appetite for water molecules (oxidizes them to O2) and, with a kcat(O2) about 20 times that of the corresponding mononuclear complex, demonstrates significant cooperation between Ru sites.
