Determination of parabens in domestic sewage by isotope-coded derivatization coupled with high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry
Isotope-coded derivatization reagents were employed to determine parabens. The derivatization offers 1–2 orders of magnitude signal enhancement. The derivatization gives light/heavy isotope-labeled derivatives for each paraben. Accurate quantification was achieved with double internal standards calibration. The proposed method was applied to analyze parabens from wastewater samples.
