Ro 90-7501, aurothioglucose, N-oleoyldopamine were identified as PP5 inhibitors. Ro 90-7501 required the TPR domain of PP5 to inhibit PP5 efficiently. The TPR-dependent PP5 inhibition of Ro 90-7501 demonstrates a novel mechanism.
