The lifetime risk for schizophrenic patients for OCS is about 25%, ten times higher than in the average population. Induced OCS probably involve antagonisms on dopaminergic, glutamatergic and serotoninergic receptors, promoted by genetic predispositions. AAPs modify network activation, notably in OFC, involved in inhibitory control. Aripiprazole in combination can reduce OCS induced by clozapine.
