Enhanced nonlinear optical absorption and optical limiting properties of superparamagnetic spinel zinc ferrite decorated reduced graphene oxide nanostructures

Nanospindle and nanosphere ZnFe2O4 were decorated upon GO by hydrothermal method.

All the samples show superparamagnetism with almost zero coercivity and remanence.

The observed nonlinearity arises due to effective two photon absorption process.

Tuning of NLO behavior with variation in amount of ZnFe2O4 upon GO were achieved.

ZnFe2O4-(15 wt%)GO show higher NLO coefficients and superior limiting actions.
