Human exposure to pesticides was evaluated by wastewater-based epidemiology. Pyrethroids urinary metabolites were selected as biomarkers. Metabolites were measured in raw urban wastewater by mass spectrometry. Spatial and temporal differences in human intake of pyrethroids were detected. The acceptable daily intake (ADI) was used to evaluate health risks.
