MsrA deficiency increases APAP-induced liver damage. MsrA deletion enhances APAP-induced hepatic GSH depletion and oxidative stress. MsrA deficiency induces more profound activation of Nrf2 in response to APAP. MsrA protects the liver from APAP-induced toxicity.
