Performance of novel adsorbent prepared by magnetic metal-organic framework (MOF) modified by potassium nickel hexacyanoferrate for removal of Cs+ from aqueous solution
Novel magnetic nanoadsorbent based on functionalized HKUST-1 MOF was successfully prepared. The adsorbent exhibited high selectivity and high adsorption capacity towards Cs+. The adsorption process was kinetically fast with maximum sorption attained in 45 min. The adsorbent showed good selectivity for Cs+ in the presence of K+ and Na+. Regeneration of the adsorbent showed that most of their initial capacity remained intact after five regeneration cycles.
