Six types of common agricultural wastes are used as the carbon precursors. Hierarchically porous carbonaceous materials are synthesized for hybrid NICs. The carbon derived from wood-like cotton stalk exhibits excellent EDLC performance. The full NIC device delivers promising energy-power characteristics.
