We found diminished levels of regulatory T cell subsets in adipose tissue from overweight subjects.

Increased levels of Sirt1 protein allows adipose tissue mononuclear cells respond to adenoside receptors and sirtuin pathways.

Low levels of Sirt1 and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma mRNA in adipose tissue mononuclear cells from overweight subjects was detected.

High inhibition percentage of proliferation and Foxp3 protein levels could be related.
