The study includes soils developed in grasslands and tropical forest in Amazon. We studied soils formed in the Late Pleistocene and Holocene sediments. Clay minerals 2:1, interstratified and kaolinite are the main minerals in soils. High level of aluminum is associated to pyrophyllite alteration from parent material.
