Disassembly of amphiphilic small molecular prodrug with fluorescence switch induced by pH and folic acid receptors for targeted delivery and controlled release
A folate-DOX amphiphilic small molecular prodrug is conjugated by hydrazone bond. The prodrug assembles into micellar nanoparticles at low critical concentration. These nanoparticles disassemble in acidic condition or with folate receptors. The hydrazone bond breaks releasing drug load in acidic endosomal environment.
