A spinal cordectomy is a treatment option of varying morbid pathological processes of the spinal cord. A PubMed search was performed for literature published from 1949 to 2015. Spinal cordectomy was done in 76 cases of posttraumatic syringomyelia and 16 cases of spinal cord tumor. Spinal cordectomy is treatment options for post-traumatic syrinx and various spinal cord tumors with the good outcome.
