This is the first report of occurrence of the bacterium S. agalactiae in farmed Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) in Peru. This report shows tilapias with clinic signs and histopathological lesions caused by this bacterium. There is a correlation between qPCR and histopahtological lesions caused by S. agalactiae in Nile tilapia.
