Fair wages play a crucial role in SLCA; yet, a consistent methodology is missing. This study defines Fair wage as a midpoint impact category for SLCA. A characterization model for calculating fair wage potentials is developed. The model includes minimum living wages, working time and income inequality. The characterization model is tested in a case study on tomato production.
