Mesoporous ZnxCo3-xO4 fibers were prepared by a topotactic conversion route.
The fibers are constructed by interconnected nanocrystals and abundant penetrating mesopores.
This unique structure would both favor electron transfer and lithium-ion diffusion rates.
It can deliver a high discharge capacity of 1132 mA h g−1 at 100 mA g−1 after 100 cycles.
