L1 and L∞ convergence checks for grid-based and purely-particle tracking diffusion/reaction algorithms. Large reaction errors incurred by more common grid-based advection algorithms. Nonlinear reactions require very small grid-Peclet numbers. Particle tracking for advection-dispersion-reaction operators is accurate and efficient.
