Bi2sub>S3sub>/Bi2sub>WO6sub> hybrids with exposed (020) Bi2sub>WO6sub> facets have been synthesized.
X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy reveals that a small amount of Bi2sub>S3sub> was formed.
The enhanced photoactivity of hybrids is due to heterojunction and (020) facets.
A possible photocatalytic degradation mechanism is proposed.
