There were no reports regarding cationic cashew gum derivatives. Quaternized cashew gum derivatives (QCG) have been presented in this work. The chemical characterization confirmed the cashew gum modification. Cationic QCG showed anti-staphylococcal effect and biocompatibility. QCG could be a promising tool in the development of anti-septic biomaterials.
