There is genetic variability in Embrapa’s Active Germplasm Bank of Elephantgrass. Genetic diversity of elephantgrass was distributed in different groups. Quality of biomass attributes can direct the elephantgrass to different final uses. Elephantgrass exhibit potential to biomass combustion and second generation ethanol. Elephantgrass crop can elevate the sustainable energetic matrix diversification.
