The coupling process of O₃/H₂O₂-BAF was conducted for the advanced treatment of biologically treated effluents from traditional Chinese medicine wastewater.

The coupling process was significantly efficient for the advanced treatment of this kind of wastewater and had economically good effect.

The COD concentration at different BAF height was expressed as a function of influent COD concentration, $\ln \frac{C}{C_i}=-\frac{1.40}{Q{C}_i^{0.26}}H$.

The wastewater biodegradability has improved from 0.11 to about 0.56, the OC value was 0.20 kg O₃/kg COD.
