Significant changes in soil and water chemistry were observed in invaded area. Water and leachate inhibited germination, α-amylase activity and adventitious root. Seasonal impacts showed distinct but inconsistent variation. Soil biota played role in reducing the phytotoxicity. Infested soil showed a lower arbuscular mycorrhizal potential.
