Clinical outcomes for renally impaired lumbar fusion patients are assessed. Low preoperative glomerular filtration rate is associated with complications. Patients with elevated creatinine are more likely to develop a complication. Increased risks should be considered when counseling renally impaired patients undergoing fusion.
