Thermally pretreated two-phase olive pomace was evaluated for anaerobic digestion. The maximum methane yield achieved was 45% higher than the yield of untreated TPOP. The maximum methane production rate was 39.8% higher than the rate of untreated TPOP. The modified Stover–Kicannon model fitted adequately to the experimental CODt values. The Grau second-order kinetic model fitted adequately to the experimental CODs values.
