Acoustic parameters of Guiana dolphin whistles were investigated in relation to noise levels. Guiana dolphin whistles were shorter in areas with higher noise levels. Guiana dolphins emitted more whistles when in noisier situations. Guiana dolphin strategies to avoid masking varies with behavior.
