Oprm1−/− mice, but not Oprk1−/− mice, showed slower learning to approach palatable food. Oprm1−/− mice, but not Oprk1−/− mice, failed to respond to buprenorphine in the novelty-induced hypophagia test. Buprenorphine and cyprodime antagonized mu opioid receptors. Buprenorphine and cyprodime reduced approach latency in the novelty induced hypophagia test.
